    TFS Member’s Exhibition: Call for Entry

    The Furni­ture Society and Arrow­mont School of Arts & Crafts have teamed up to provide an exhi­bi­tion oppor­tu­nity for TFS members. We are looking for 2 – 3 artists to exhibit their work in Arrowmont’s Drown Wood Studio Gallery March 17 — May 16, 2025. All members are welcome to apply. Regional members in and around Tennessee are encour­aged to apply.

Featured Student Member: Gideon Holdgate

Gideon Holdgate is a furni­ture maker and sculp­ture who attended MassArt in Boston, MA. During his time as a student, and contin­u­ing past his grad­u­a­tion, Gideon worked as a wood shop monitor and instruc­tor and both the Harvard Univer­sity Carpen­ter Center for Visual Arts, as well as in the wood shop of MassArt. Gideon has since moved back home to Nantucket, MA, where he is devel­op­ing his own shop space to continue build­ing furni­ture and sculp­ture by commission.
