This weekend will be filled with gallery & studio tours in Knoxville, TN and a day in Gatlin­burg, TN at Arrow­mont includ­ing: a presen­ta­tion by Arrow­mont Resi­dent Artist Gina Siepel, a demon­stra­tion by exhibit­ing artist Alexan­dra Mavrikis, show & share, and the opening recep­tion for the FS members exhi­bi­tion at Arrow­mon­t’s Jerry Drown Wood Studio Gallery.

A Thou­sand Forests in an Acorn: Recent Projects and Explo­rations of Sustainability

Inter­dis­ci­pli­nary artist and wood­worker Gina Siepel will discuss their recently completed five-year project, To Under­stand a Tree,” and their explo­rations of forest ecology, envi­ron­men­tal philos­o­phy, climate conscious­ness, and sustain­abil­ity in wood­work­ing.

The Furni­ture Society and Arrow­mont School of Arts & Crafts teamed up to provide an exhi­bi­tion oppor­tu­nity for TFS members. This was a juried exhi­bi­tion and tree artists were chosen to exhibit their work in Arrowmont’s Drown Wood Studio Gallery.
The opening recep­tion for this exhi­bi­tion will take place during the regional event at Arrowmont.
