Wednesday’s profes­sional devel­op­ment session will feature three presen­ters each present­ing for 15 – 20-minutes on a specific topic. Atten­dees will have the oppor­tu­nity to ask ques­tions at the end of the session. Included with regis­tra­tion is access to a PDF work­book that will include helpful resources and templates shared by each presen­ter, and a record­ing of that day’s session.

Navi­gat­ing the appli­ca­tion process can be complex and over­whelm­ing when apply­ing for funding. Join the Center for Craft’s Grant Program Manager Mella­nee Goodman for a helpful guide to apply­ing for grants and fellow­ships to make the appli­ca­tion process less daunt­ing and learn about upcom­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties at the Center for Craft. 

CV/ Resume/​Bio with Katie Thomp­son of Women of Woodworking/​Pen & Chisel

Keeping an up-to-date resume and bio on file is a must for artists and makers. In this work­shop we’ll cover the basics of writing a resume and bio, and atten­dees will leave with an outline of how to build, main­tain, and utilize these resources for appli­ca­tions and various oppor­tu­ni­ties. No writing experience necessary! 

•Editing Photographs, Photo Sizing and Commu­ni­ca­tion with Mercedes Jelinek

Mercedes will discuss photograph­ing your work for publi­ca­tions, appli­ca­tions, and social media accounts. The infor­ma­tion given will include light­ing and camera tips as well as editing and archiving suggestions.
