Award of Distinction: Celebrating Kristina Madsen

The Furniture Society is thrilled to recognize Kristina Madsen as the recipient of the 2020/2021 Award of Distinction. The Award will be presented during a special virtual program as part of FS Connects Summer Session.
The Award of Distinction honors and celebrates those who have had a profound impact on the field, and whose lives, work and efforts have strengthened the fabric of the Furniture Society’s community. We are proud to honor and celebrate Kristina this year and invite you to join us for a conversation and virtual tour of her studio and workspace with past President and TFS member, Bart Niswonger.
Pour a glass of champagne as we raise a toast in Kristina’s honor and present her with the Award, created by TFS member, Fred Rose.
All proceeds from this event go towards the establishment of a scholarship for women to attend one of our Educational Grant Partnership experiences.

Join us for more celebrations of Kristina with Object Studies on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 3 – 4:30 pm (EST). This program will feature curators from three collecting institutions including Yale University Art Gallery, The Renwick Museum, and the RISD Museum
