Join us for Eleonora ​“Rukiya” Brown’s hands-on demon­stra­tion that will show how she creates one-of-a-kind masks and costumes in the Mardi Gras Indian tradi­tion. As part of the demon­stra­tion, Rukiya will address the signif­i­cance behind her mate­r­ial choices while sharing the stories that have shaped these power­ful works of art. We invite you to exper­i­ment with the mate­ri­als that we will have avail­able to express your own story through embellishment.
