New Orleans, LA — June 8 – 10, 2023
Taking Place on the Campus of Loyola University
FS23: Making Spaces: How Place Shapes Production, Living, and Community
How the work of a maker can impact the spaces we inhabit: our homes, our communities
The places that most of us inhabit are made up of buildings, streets, spaces and landscape, and a community of users. The places in which we live, work, and play will influence the lives we lead, the opportunities available to us and our personal and communal happiness..and identity. But what impact do we, as individuals and as makers, have on place?
Join us in New Orleans as we explore the power of place and the power of making in the communities we create and work in. Together we will investigate the value we bring to communities as creative problem solvers and the impact that those places have on the businesses we run and the things we make. How can we harness the power of collaboration between place and maker for a greater good?
Registration:
Registration is from 8am-12:45 in the Lobby of Nunemaker Auditorium located on the third floor of the Monroe Science Complex. (located directly behind the Communications/Music Complex)
