Tommy Simpson: Living in a World I Created

Makers

Thursday, Jun 9 5:30 – 6:00

The Why Make? Podcast and BeeryMedia present a screening of the new short documentary film Tommy Simpson: Living in a World I Created.

This newly completed short film is about Tommy Simpson — an artist, woodworker, sculptor, furniture maker, painter and poet.

Tommy is a true original in the art world and one of the ground breakers of the modern studio furniture movement.

The ultimate goal,” Tommy says, is to bring the artwork to life, so that the viewer can identify the human spirit behind the work, and experience its poetry.”

There will be an intro from the movie’s producers and Why Make? Podcast hosts, Robb Helmkamp and Erik Wolken, and a short Q&A after.

Running Time 22:07
