The Furni­ture Society is thrilled to be honor­ing not one but three deserv­ing indi­vid­u­als whose contri­bu­tions to the field merit much celebrating!

Please join us for the festiv­i­ties to congrat­u­late these three amazing indi­vid­u­als during a special, virtual, program as part of this year’s FS22: Working Together conference:

Ronald D. Abram­son: Patron, phil­an­thropist, collec­tor, lawyer

Miguel Gómez-Ibáñez: Designer, cabinet maker, Pres­i­dent Emer­i­tus – North Bennet Street School

Mira Nakashima: Designer, furni­ture maker, Pres­i­dent & Creative Direc­tor of George Nakashima Woodworkers

The Award of Distinc­tion is an annual, sustain­ing event that honors those who have had a signif­i­cant creative, educa­tional, and other­wise elevat­ing impact on the contem­po­rary furni­ture field, and whose lives, work and efforts have strength­ened the fabric of the Furni­ture Society’s commu­nity. We are proud to laud Ron, Miguel, and Mira this year and invite you to join us for three special trib­utes to these individuals. 

Be sure to have a glass of cham­pagne in-hand as we raise toasts in their honor and present them with their awards, created by TFS member, Fred Rose.

All proceeds from this event go towards the support of our Educa­tional Grant Partnership experiences.
