Ghermayn Baker

Ghermayn Baker is a craftsman, business owner, and small business consultant based in Long Beach, California. He founded Point by Point Studio in 2022, specializing in the custom installation and restoration of cane, wicker, rattan and other woven furniture and home decor. The studio combines traditional techniques with a modern design approach, and Ghermayn’s passion for natural materials and woven patterns earned him the 2023 Educational Grant from The Furniture Society.

Before transitioning into the world of craftsmanship full time, Ghermayn had a successful career in senior marketing leadership roles across diverse industries. Most recently as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Growth at Human-I-T, he led a team of seven and managed a six-figure budget to lead marketing efforts that expanded digital access for underserved communities.

Ghermayn holds a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature from Dartmouth College and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
