Madeline Rile Smith
Glass Artist
Madeline Rile Smith is an artist specializing in glass. She earned an MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology and a BFA from Tyler School of Art. Madeline uses glass as a performative vehicle to consider notions of intimacy and compromise, ritual and transformation. Her sculptural glass work has been exhibited in venues throughout the US, including Sculpture NOW 2020, and has been featured in New Glass Review 41 and 35. She has instructed glassworking in schools and institutions throughout the east coast, including UrbanGlass in Brooklyn, Salem Community College, and Rochester Institute of Technology.
