“Being a part of the ACC Balti­more program has been an excit­ing start to my time with Furni­ture society. I feel as though I am finally start­ing to build an artist commu­nity beyond my VCUarts commu­nity and start shift­ing myself down the path I hope to go down post grad­u­a­tion. I am excited to be working with my fellow student artists, Teresa, and Pam to repre­sent Furni­ture society at the Amer­i­can Craft Council show. Every­one has been incred­i­bly kind and helpful in this process and making it a wonder­ful learn­ing expe­ri­ence. I have been nervous to show my work outside of my local commu­nity but the advice from Pam and Teresa has made it a much more approach­able process. I am looking forward to build­ing more connec­tions at furni­ture society and seeing every­one in Balti­more! “
