I am a Los Angeles-based artist and woodworker born in 1980 and raised in Berkeley, California. Since 2011, I have been exploring the theme of wall-hung wood sculptures, organizing them on a grid to allow for interactive rearrangement and self-expression. My goal is to create a tactile and collaborative experience for viewers, providing an instrument that anyone can play and manipulate to reveal a part of themselves. By giving control to the viewer, I hope to cultivate a sense of ownership and pride in the interactive experience. Each project is a study towards a better understanding of color and interaction, with each finished work opening up new opportunities for exploration and growth as an artist.
