- About
Brian Wurst is the lead instructor in Haywood Community College’s Professional Crafts Wood program. He began his career as a commercial architect, then transitioned to the more hands-on, personal-scale role of woodworker. From his Asheville studio he has since fashioned work across two decades for galleries, homes, and businesses in the region and beyond. While teaching full-time, Brian still undertakes occasional exhibition pieces and commissions that feature curves, exploration of techniques, and regionally-inspired natural themes.
