Amy Forsyth

Amy Forsyth began her career in architecture, with degrees from Penn State and Princeton. She started working in furniture in the late 1990’s and joined the board of the Furniture Society, producing the newsletter, Furniture Matters, and joining the editorial board for the first several volumes of Furniture Studio. She has been a professor of Design at Lehigh University for the past 25 years, teaching Drawing, Furniture Design, and, occasionally, Experimental Musical Instrument Making. She’s had two residencies at the Museum of Art in Wood in Philadelphia, and has shown her work nationally. Her recent project, “Harmonize,” was funded by Lehigh University, and explores the relationship between music and the visual arts, with collaborators.
