The Furni­ture Society is excited to intro­duce Furnish the Future: Used Tool Sale at our FS25 Confer­ence! This fundrais­ing event invites makers and members to come together and support the next gener­a­tion of furniture artists.

We are asking for dona­tions of used tools and furni­ture making books to help equip students and emerg­ing makers as they tran­si­tion into profes­sional prac­tice. Whether it’s a favorite hand plane, a dove­tail saw, or a set of carving tools you no longer use, your contri­bu­tion can make a lasting impact. All donated items will be sold at afford­able prices to students and atten­dees. All proceeds from this sale directly funds TFS student initia­tives, includ­ing schol­ar­ships and future educational opportunities.

The sale kicks off with a 1‑hour, exclu­sive shop­ping expe­ri­ence just for students and those just out of school, giving students the first oppor­tu­nity to build their personal tool collec­tions. After that, the sale will open to all conference attendees.

• Japan­ese hand saws
• Router planes
• Tri-squares
• Carving tools
• Marking gauges
• Sharp­en­ing stones
• Green wood­work­ing tools
• Draft­ing materials

If you would like to donate but cannot attend the confer­ence, we gladly accept shipped dona­tions.
Once you complete this Google Form, further instruc­tions will be provided.

All ship­ments must arrive NO LATER THAN Friday, June 20 to ensure they are included in the sale.
Please be sure to indi­cate on the Google Form whether you plan to drop off your dona­tion in person or ship it ahead of time.

The Furni­ture Society is looking for dona­tions to raffle off during the FS25 confer­ence in Syra­cuse. All funds raised from this initia­tive will help support The Furni­ture Society grants, schol­ar­ships, and resource oppor­tu­ni­ties. Please consider donat­ing a small hand­made piece, an hour of your time (via zoom) for discus­sion (critique, advice), books, or a new tool (a used power tool?). 

Items should be valued ~$100 – 500.

Lucky Draw tickets will be avail­able at the confer­ence for $5 each, $25 for 6, $50 for 12 and can be purchased onsite at regis­tra­tion. Tickets will not be avail­able for purchase online in advance of the conference.
