Wells Mason
Designer, sculptor, writer, curator, activist
Wells Mason is an American designer and sculptor based in Coupland, Texas with satellite operations in Austin and Marfa. He founded Ironwood Industries in 1995. He has exhibited his work in galleries and museums around the country, and he’s been featured in countless regional, national, and international publications. He’s a member of the American Craft Council, the Furniture Society, the Mid-South Sculpture Alliance, and the International Sculpture Center, plus he serves on the board of the Huntington Sculpture Foundation. He’s also a writer, curator, and community activist – with a history of impossible-sounding community projects. These days, he focuses on studio furniture and contemporary sculpture.
