Stephen Markos is the founder and director of Superhouse. He started his career by launching the first online fine art auction house with Artnet and has worked at Christie’s and the Museum of Modern Art. Markos believes art should not be confined to walls or pedestals; he envisions integrating art into everyday items like tables, lamps, and sofas. Through Superhouse, he merges art and design through a dynamic program of exhibitions and events, focusing on both contemporary and historical works. Markos has collaborated with top galleries like Friedman Benda, Nilufar Gallery, and R & Company and has been featured in various publications including Architectural Digest, Curbed, Interior Design, Metropolis, The New York Times, and PIN-UP.He earned his B.A.in art history from The George Washington University and attributes his upbringing in New England, surrounded by early American antiques, as the inspiration for his lifelong passion for art and design.
