Peter Antor

Peter Antor received his MFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry with a minor in Woodworking from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and his BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry from Grand Valley State University in 2011. Peter works with a wide range of materials from precious metals to concrete and wood. His body of work ranges from sculptural jewelry to functional lighting. Architecture has a large influence on his work and designs.

Recently he opened a design and fabrication company in Chicago where he creates original and commission-based work. His favorite part of this practice is ideation and the subsequent problem solving of turning that idea into a tactile piece: first, choosing what material would best express the idea, then deciding the proper techniques and tools to turn the raw material into something beautiful. Peter’s studio is located in the Mana Contemporary building in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.
