Lauren Brincat

Lauren Brincat is Chief Curator and Director of Collections at Preservation Long Island, where she organizes exhibitions and research initiatives focused on regional history and material culture. She is co-editor and author of the award-winning publication, Promoting Long Island: The Art of Edward Lange, 1870–1889. With over a decade of experience in New York museums and historical societies, she specializes in curatorial practice, collections management, and public engagement. Her previous experience includes positions in the curatorial and education departments at the New-York Historical Society and the Museum of the City of New York. She holds a BA in History and Anthropology from the College of William & Mary and an MA from the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture.
