Furnishing Utopia: Shaker Design and its Legacy

Follow­ing up on Shaker Design: Simplic­ity, Utility, and Harmony the previ­ous week, this program will explore the ways the Shaker legacy is being taken in new, unex­pected direc­tions by contem­po­rary design­ers. Design duos Studio Gorm and Ladies & Gentle­men Studio will intro­duce their ongoing project, Furnish­ing Utopia, and share a selec­tion of objects that have come out of their hands-on research into the history of Shaker design.
