TFS Board Member Reuben Foat talks with Furni­ture Designer Adam Rogers about design­ing for brands, advice for young makers and how tech­nol­ogy plays a role in our industry.

Adam Rogers is a designer, maker and owner of AR:S — a design studio in Port­land, Maine focus­ing on devel­op­ing and proto­typ­ing concepts for outside manu­fac­ture. Each design solu­tion embraces and cele­brates the process of its making, often empha­siz­ing the construc­tion details. Commit­ted to sharing his passion for design and craft, Adam has served as a full time visit­ing profes­sor at the School for Amer­i­can Crafts at RIT, as a visit­ing profes­sor at the Maine College of Art, and has taught­sev­eral work­shops at schools such as Haystack and Center for Furni­ture Crafts­man­ship.

Adam’s designs have earned numer­ous awards and have been featured in various publi­ca­tions includ­ing Wall­pa­per, Archi­tec­tural Digest and Dwell.
