Vivian Chiu

www​.vivianchi​ude​signs​.com — Vivian Chiu is artist and designer working primar­ily in wood. She is a grad­u­ate of Colum­bia Univer­si­ty’s MFA program (’19 Sculp­ture) and the Rhode Island School of Design’s BFA program (’11 Furni­ture Design). An indi­vid­ual that likes to push herself mentally and phys­i­cally, she believes in the value of hard work, a philos­o­phy that drives many of her designs. Much of her work is a mixture of sculp­tural and func­tional, and shows her inter­est in the mate­ri­al­ity of wood. She is currently an adjunct faculty at VCU Craft/​Material Studies in the Wood Area.
