- About
I often draw inspiration for my designs from architecture and am intrigued by the arch and cantilever principles as applied to furniture forms. A major theme of my work is the use of curves, which are created through tapered and bent lamination. This process allows the grain of the wood to follow the curve, resulting in organic-looking shapes that are very strong. I also enjoy the challenge of combining veneer with solid wood in a way that produces contrasting pattern or figure while maintaining a consistent overall hue and value of the piece.
