Ioannis Maritsas interests in wood working began in New Milford High School wood shop and also worked in his uncles wood shop since 2010. He is also a self taught sculptor who makes figurative and abstract sculptures . His techniques try to combine form and function and are influenced by Greco Roman art. Currently in foundations two at Vermont Woodworking school.
