Part-Time Faculty, Woodturning Bucks County Community College

Bucks is looking for a part time faculty member to join the Fine Wood­work­ing major within the Visual Arts depart­ment as a woodturning professor.

The college features an exquis­ite wood­shop with 8 full-sized Oneway lathes and every auxil­iary wood­turn­ing capa­bil­ity and equip­ment imag­in­able. Candi­dates must have an earned Master’s degrees in a related field and be open to teach­ing a diverse group of commu­nity college students.

Minimum Require­ments:
Earned Master’s degree in Wood­work­ing, Furni­ture Design, Sculp­ture, or a closely related Visual Arts field.
Working knowl­edge of wood­work­ing equip­ment, espe­cially lathes.

Preferred Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

Teach­ing expe­ri­ence with between center” or spindle turning and bowl” or face­plate turning.
Expe­ri­ence in higher educa­tion, prefer­ably with commu­nity college students and Peda­gogy.
Demon­strated ability to teach Wood­turn­ing effec­tively.
