2023 Summer Workshops Pocosin Arts

Offer­ing five-day work­shops in wood­work­ing, furni­ture making, bark carving, and sculp­tural tech­niques. Classes are open to all skill levels.

Pocosin Arts is located in Colum­bia, NC, near the Outer Banks. Our campus is nestled on the banks of the Scup­per­nong River, offer­ing a peace­ful retreat in a small-town setting. 

Join us in our newly reno­vated studios to nurture your creativ­ity, refine your craft, and connect with an inspir­ing commu­nity of makers.

June 26 – 30: Nakashima-Inspired Chair. With Taeho Kwon

July 10 – 14: Bark Carving with Julia Harrison 

July 17 – 21: Looking Good: Sculp­tural Mirrors with Aspen Golann

July 24 – 28: Wood Sculpt­ing with Hand Tools 

July 31 – August 4: Design­ing with Textures and Color on Wood with Jacques Vesery
