Cameron Block

Cameron Block is a designer maker from St. Catharines, Ontario. He is currently a student enrolled in the Craft & Design: Furni­ture program at Sheri­dan College in Oakville, Ontario.

“I enjoy the unique problem-solving chal­lenges that wood poses. Creat­ing forms that are comfort­able, beau­ti­ful, and func­tional is some­thing that I always strive for. When start­ing a new project, I iden­tify skills that I want to develop and design pieces that will chal­lenge me to grow out of my comfort zone. The pieces often end up show­cas­ing the method by which they were created, flaws and all. When I look back at these pieces, they have an endear­ing quality that captures the spirit of learn­ing and growth.”
