Wood­work­ing Instructor Position:

Dart­mouth College’s, Hopkins Center for the Arts’, Student Work­shops, Wood­work­ing Shop at is search­ing for a Wood­work­ing Instruc­tor. This posi­tion is full-time with benefits. 

History: Dart­mouth College’s Student Work­shops have been in exis­tence since 1941. The Student Work­shops became part of Hopkins Center for the Arts in 1962. The Student Work­shops also include a ceram­ics studio and a jewelry/​metals studio. 

The Wood­work­ing Shop: The Wood­work­ing shop primar­ily oper­ates in a maker­space” style format and is mentored by profes­sional wood­work­ers. It’s an open studio for all Dart­mouth students that is a very well-equipped wood­work­ing space, that includes a wide range of mate­ri­als for sale to students. 

The Wood­shop is a place where all students are encour­aged and welcomed to explore their ideas and turn ideas into reality. 

The Wood­work­ing program is not affil­i­ated with any one acad­e­mic program but rather serves Dart­mouth College as a whole. The Wood­shop has strong part­ner­ships across campus and each term is involved in lectures, demon­stra­tions and assists with assign­ments in various acad­e­mic programs like Engi­neer­ing, Studio Art, Archi­tec­ture, Computer Science, History, Music, Arche­ol­ogy and more.
