Woodworking Instructor Position:
Dartmouth College’s, Hopkins Center for the Arts’, Student Workshops, Woodworking Shop at is searching for a Woodworking Instructor. This position is full-time with benefits.
History: Dartmouth College’s Student Workshops have been in existence since 1941. The Student Workshops became part of Hopkins Center for the Arts in 1962. The Student Workshops also include a ceramics studio and a jewelry/metals studio.
The Woodworking Shop: The Woodworking shop primarily operates in a “makerspace” style format and is mentored by professional woodworkers. It’s an open studio for all Dartmouth students that is a very well-equipped woodworking space, that includes a wide range of materials for sale to students.
The Woodshop is a place where all students are encouraged and welcomed to explore their ideas and turn ideas into reality.
The Woodworking program is not affiliated with any one academic program but rather serves Dartmouth College as a whole. The Woodshop has strong partnerships across campus and each term is involved in lectures, demonstrations and assists with assignments in various academic programs like Engineering, Studio Art, Architecture, Computer Science, History, Music, Archeology and more.
