This show brings together more than a dozen of our region’s leading and emerging woodworkers, highlighting a small sliver of the incredible community of makers in the Hudson Valley, and their important place within the broader landscape of art and design. The exhibition reveals the depth of expertise and the diversity of practice — from functional furniture and lighting to sculptural vessels and conceptual forms.

Each piece is unique in its embodiment of an idea. Whether it is transforming a traditional form into a contemporary silhouette, bridging sculpture with craft, or embracing the beauty of fine joinery details, the works on display are reflections of the artists who made them and their ideals.

The Hudson Valley has long been an inspiring haven and home for an array of artists and makers. It is important that as the region develops, we support local makers’ livelihoods through a strong community of peers, mentors, galleries, shops, collectors, and appreciators. We hope you’ll be able to join us in celebrating this wonderful community.
