Virtual Tour and Discussion of Suite Américaine, solo exhibition by BA Harrington Center for Craft
Artist and material culture scholar, BA Harrington, and Sarah Darro, Gallery Manager at the Center for Craft, will lead a virtual tour of the exhibition Suite Américaine followed by a discussion with curators Laura Mays and Deirdre Visser. BA Harrington is the recipient of the Center for Craft’s inaugural Craft Research Fund Artist Fellowship and is a professor of woodworking at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Deirdre Visser is Curator of the Arts at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Laura Mays is the Program Director of the Fine Woodworking Program at the Krenov School of Fine Furniture. Mays and Visser are themselves former Craft Research Fund recipients and co-curated the seminal exhibition Making a Seat at the Table: Women Transform Woodworking.
