The Furni­ture Society is looking for someone with expe­ri­ence to help us create and/​or edit videos for online learning.

We Need Your Help!

The Furni­ture Society is moving into the realm of online learn­ing and we need some help.

  • Do you have expe­ri­ence with editing and creat­ing online content? 
  • Are you inter­ested in engag­ing with craft, design, and making communities? 
  • Looking to gain intern­ship credit or gaining expe­ri­ence working with an arts non-profit?

Join The Furni­ture Society Staff & Program Commit­tee to help produce online programs for our new initia­tive — FS Connects

This is an unpaid, volunteer position.

The ideal candidate: 

  • Inter­ested in intern­ship credit. Someone with expe­ri­ence in creat­ing and/​or editing videos/​online learning.
  • Inter­ested in engag­ing with a variety of commu­ni­ties in the produc­tion of a series of thematic, online content

Job duties:

    • video editing
    • clip­ping, trim­ming, cropping
    • inputting logos and possi­ble links for donation page
    • knowl­edge of editing software
    • ability to splice, fade, overlay, and modify media relatively quickly

Require­ments:

  • Ability to work remotely with TFS staff and TFS Program Commit­tee to help produce online learning content.
  • Inter­me­di­ate level skills in and inter­est in working with a craft non-profit focus­ing in Furni­ture, Craft, Commu­nity, Design, and Making.
  • Access to computer and editing software

Time Commit­ment:

  • Partic­i­pat­ing in up to two monthly Program Committee calls
  • Between 2 – 5 hours of dedi­cated editing and produc­tion work (esti­mated) per week.
