The posi­tion, Program Manager, is respon­si­ble for the non-acad­e­mic programs at our satel­lite campus, the Appalachian Center for Craft is an 87,000-square-foot facil­ity that is located in middle Tennessee on 500 acres of lush forested land that over­looks Center Hill Lake. The Appalachian Center for Craft is part of TN Tech Univer­sity and for 9 months of the year, it oper­ates the Bach­e­lor of Fine Arts degree program housed in the School of Art, Craft & Design. We seek to hire a Program Manager who will design, imple­ment and coor­di­nate our non-acad­e­mic commu­nity programs, which currently include: non-acad­e­mic craft work­shops (weekend during the acad­e­mic year and week-long during summer), year-round K‑12 educa­tional outreach, and special events. In addi­tion to the acad­e­mic, work­shop, and outreach programs, the Appalachian Center for Craft has a year-long artist resi­dency program in each of our 5 craft studios (glass, metals, clay, fibers, wood) and a 6th in our exhi­bi­tions area, which includes 3 exhi­bi­tion gallery spaces. All of these programs and areas work syner­gis­ti­cally to create an immer­sive and support­ive craft community.

The posi­tion is a 12-month, full-time posi­tion with an annual salary and a suite of bene­fits, includ­ing health insur­ance and retirement.
