Program Manager Appalachian Center for Craft

The position, Program Manager, is responsible for the non-academic programs at our satellite campus, the Appalachian Center for Craft is an 87,000-square-foot facility that is located in middle Tennessee on 500 acres of lush forested land that overlooks Center Hill Lake. The Appalachian Center for Craft is part of TN Tech University and for 9 months of the year, it operates the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program housed in the School of Art, Craft & Design. We seek to hire a Program Manager who will design, implement and coordinate our non-academic community programs, which currently include: non-academic craft workshops (weekend during the academic year and week-long during summer), year-round K‑12 educational outreach, and special events. In addition to the academic, workshop, and outreach programs, the Appalachian Center for Craft has a year-long artist residency program in each of our 5 craft studios (glass, metals, clay, fibers, wood) and a 6th in our exhibitions area, which includes 3 exhibition gallery spaces. All of these programs and areas work synergistically to create an immersive and supportive craft community.
The position is a 12-month, full-time position with an annual salary and a suite of benefits, including health insurance and retirement.
