INNOVATION+DESIGN 2021 International Society Of Furniture Designers
CALL FOR ENTRIES: Enter 2021 INNOVATION + DESIGN, ISFD’s second annual Maker/Designer juried competition and exhibition. A “must see” live and in-person event at Congdon Yards in High Point, NC during the week of September 19th. The exhibition of finalist’s products will also be shown to the public at Theater Art Galleries from October Through December 2021, showing your designs to the over 500,000 citizens living in the Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem, North Carolina area.
Prizes will be given for professional and student levels in the following Categories: Seating, occasional tables, occasional storage, lighting, accessories and dining room furniture. Entry Fee $50

Professional Contest Prizes: Best of Show: $1,000 Runner Up: $500 Category Winners: $250 Plus: Congdon Yards Generator Time
Student Contest Prizes: Best of Show: $1,000 Runner Up: $500 Category Winners: $250 Plus: Congdon Yards Generator Time
Judging: Our five judges will select a final 25 to 30 from all the entries. These finalists will be invited to ship their products to our warehouse in High Point, North Carolina so that they may be displayed at the innovation plus design exhibitions. Freight for these selected products will be subsidized by Old Dominion and our sponsors.
The Generator at Congdon Yards: Developed in partnership with SCM Woodworking Technology, The Generator makes industrial-grade woodworking machinery accessible to all furniture designers and makers, Winners of the INNOVATION+DESIGN competition can advance their most daring ideas into prototype and production with their benefit of free time in this state of the art facility!
MEET THE DESIGNER EVENT: Local and international press coverage during the competition and just prior to the exhibition will culminate with our “Meet the Designer” event to be held in The Loft and Congdon yards on the evening of September 21st from 7 – 8:30 pm when the winners will be announced. Mix and mingle with ISFD board members and members of the furniture industry’s design community.
