HCCC’s Artist Resi­dency Program appli­ca­tion is now open for the 2021 – 2022 cycle. Emerg­ing, mid-career, and estab­lished artists working in all craft media, includ­ing clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and mixed media, are encour­aged to apply by 3/1/21.

Houston Center for Contem­po­rary Craft’s Artist Resi­dency Program appli­ca­tion is now open for the 20212022 cycle. The program is designed to offer time and space for artists to focus on their work and inter­act with the public. Emerg­ing, mid-career, and estab­lished artists working in all craft media, includ­ing but not limited to clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and mixed media, are encour­aged to apply. Juried selec­tion is based on quality of creative work, the ability to inter­act with the public, career direc­tion, and program diversity. 

Bene­fits of the Artist Residency Program

Bene­fits of the program include 24/7 access to studio space, cultural and profes­sional devel­op­ment oppor­tu­ni­ties, a monthly stipend that includes a housing/​materials allowance, the oppor­tu­nity to exhibit work and give an artist talk, and much more.
