Final sand prep and QC pieces as they come in to you
Spray shellac sealer
Spray top coat (waterbased) with / hvlp, cup guns or pressure pot
Match samples: mix stain, dyes and toners
Tone pieces to match
Experience with highly figured / curly species a plus
Apply water-based stains with brush, rag and spray gun
Repairs and touch ups
Bleaching wood to uniform tone
Polishing/rub out finish if needed
Grain and pore fill finishes when necessary
Knowledge of exterior finishes
Some distressed finishes
Prepare work according to work orders and specifications
Track and record time
Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Keep supplies ready, checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; stocking items.
Control costs by conserving use of equipment and supplies and managing time efficiently.
