Designing Work That Wows Florida School of Woodwork
Taught by master furniture maker Michael Cullen, this two-week design and build intensive will profoundly impact your creative approach to making successful work.
Taught in a seminar-style with lots of group discussions and design exercises. There are numerous demonstrations threaded throughout the workshop while you work independently on developing your own design/project.
The goal is for you to drill down and work on the design challenges associated with your project. The process is a guided one. You will begin with a series of rough sketches that give way to scale models, mock-ups and finally, a fully realized prototype.
Come with the intention to have lots of fun, working hard while you pick the instructor’s brain clean and glean information from all the other projects that are simultaneously going on while you create yours. Be prepared to build your project with confidence, with a clear plan of approach, techniques, and jigs in place.
