The Furniture Society Assistantship Program
Nexus 2018, San Francisco, CA
The Furniture Society is pleased to announce this year’s Assistantship Program!
Assistants are critical to the success of the conference. In exchange for a free conference pass, assistants are responsible for helping in a variety of ways including setting up and breaking down rooms for demonstrations, exhibitions, and events, assisting presenters and FS staff, providing information and guiding attendees, assisting in the registration area, and many other jobs. Assistants also have the opportunity to attend presentations that are of interest to them and to network with other conference participants.
Conference Assistants will be required to be at the conference site, ready for duty, by 9:00 am, Wednesday the 13th of June, 2018 and may be required to be on duty through the close of the conference, approximately 11:00 pm, Saturday, June 16th.
Students enrolled in a furniture program or those working as an apprentice are eligible to apply for the Assistantship Program, which will cover their registration and some of their meals. Assistants are responsible for making arrangements for their room accommodations and travel.
Applications and appropriate documentation need to be received no later than April 15th, 2018.
