The Beginning – Origins of the Furniture Society
Moderated by Glenn Adamson.
This panel/presentation/conversation seeks to document some of the particular stories that were part of the creation of the Furniture Society. The freeze moment is the first Steering Committee meeting, in Philadelphia on April 27-28, 1996. Individuals who participated at this meeting, which after two days of introductions, banter, discussion, emotion and humor resulted in the foundation of an organization, will gather to tell their stories. How did they arrive at this meeting? What did they bring to it? What did they anticipate to take away from it?
