My name is Tommy Blevins; I am 19, going on 20 and a student at the Vermont wood­work­ing school through Vermont State Univer­sity. I have been a wood­worker for 5 years, the first 3 were purely hand tools, now my shop has more machines. My favorite era of furni­ture would be the late 1700s, I love furni­ture made with elegance in the form of marquetry, inlay, and carving. My inten­tion is to have a fine furni­ture busi­ness in my home state CT. Once I leave school I would like to continue growing my busi­ness, prefer­ably with another fine wood­worker around my age that shares the same high-quality stan­dards that I do.
