Jordan Gehman is an artist, furni­ture maker, and wood­work­ing educa­tor. He earned his BFA in wood­work­ing from the Maine College of Art and his MFA in furni­ture design from San Diego State Univer­sity. Jordan has been an artist in resi­dence at Oregon College of Art and Craft, The Center for Furni­ture Crafts­man­ship, and The Center for Art in Wood. He has been published in books and maga­zines, as well as exhib­ited nation­ally and inter­na­tion­ally. His hobbies include docu­ment­ing and collect­ing discarded furni­ture, disman­tling things with no inten­tion of putting them back together, riding bikes, and contin­u­ally explor­ing the rela­tion­ships between humans and objects.
