  • Annie Evelyn http://annieevelyn.com Penland, NC
    Annie Evelyn is a furniture maker who makes alternatively upholstered chairs from hard materials like wood, metal, and cement. In 2011 she received a Windgate furniture residency at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Center for Turning and Furniture Design. Her work has been featured on the cover of American Craft magazine and published in Laura Housely’s book, The Independent Design Guide. Evelyn is currently in her third year as an artist in residence at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina and most recently was awarded The John D. Mineck Furniture Fellowship.
  • Topher Gent http://tophergent.com Providence, RI
    Topher is an artist, designer, and craftsman who creates one-of-a-kind objects and furniture as meditations on his own observations and experiences. With steel as a primary medium, Topher implements a sensitive balance of traditional craft and modern technology, allowing him to explore these ideas and his personal relationship to making.

    A New York City native, Asher currently works in the Hudson Valley, designing buildings and building furniture. Drawing on his training as an architect and a love of lore, Asher designs work for the modern explorer. His studio is a workshop specializing in unique and handcrafted objects, producing original products and custom designs for the discerning collector, with an affinity for heritage techniques and heirloom quality. Each piece narrates the story of its materials, creating innovative and precise designs with a timeless aesthetic.

    Heide is a designer-maker who creates furniture and housewares with simple, high quality materials. Her designs reflect a Shaker-esque dedication to honest functionality, and she strives for unique yet well-balanced form. She works in native hardwoods as well as leather, fiber, and metals.
    Heide resides and works in coastal Maine with her husband on a small, wooded homestead. She came to furniture design from a career in landscape architecture and urban planning in the Pacific Northwest. Her design work has been exhibited and published in Maine, Washington, Switzerland, England, Spain, Japan, and the Netherlands.
