Susie Silbert

Susie J. Silbert is a curator, writer, and educator with a background in craft and design and a passion for interpreting the built world. Her recent exhibitions include #F*nked!, exploring the relationship between digital interfaces and handmade objects, Concept:Process, at Parsons The New School for Design, Material Location, at UrbanGlass and SPRAWL, an interdisciplinary exhibition interpreting urban development at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. Silbert lectures on the history of glass at the Rhode Island School of Design, is a board member of the Furniture Society, and was a 2014 - 2015 Fellow of the Emerging Leaders on the New York Arts. Her writing has appeared in exhibition catalogues and other publications such as American Art Collector, GLASS Quarterly Magazine and the American Craft Council website.
