2018 American Craft Exposition – 9/21-9/23 2018

CHICAGO (December 5, 2017) – The 34th annual American Craft Exposition (ACE) is now accepting artist applications for its 2018 show. A juried exposition and sale of fine craft, ACE features one-of-a-kind pieces, luxury collections, and uniquely creative artwork from the country’s finest artisans. Presented by The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore), ACE will once again be held at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, IL, the weekend of September 21 – 23, 2018, with the Benefit Preview Party being held on Thursday, September 20.

ACE is a nationally recognized and celebrated event presented by a volunteer committee that works year-round to bring both artists and patrons a truly memorable experience. Last year’s show, which also took place at the Chicago Botanic Garden, welcomed more than 8,000 patrons.

Approximately 140 craft artists will be chosen to participate in this year’s ACE to showcase new achievements in ceramics, metal, fiber wearable, glass, furniture, fiber decorative, leather, wood, jewelry, mixed media, paper, and basketry. In addition to featuring unique pieces from award-winning craftspeople, ACE is committed to fostering the next generation of artists. Those who have been practicing their craft for six years or less and who have never exhibited at ACE are encouraged to apply for the Emerging Artist category, which will be juried separately from the other applicants. The deadline for all artists to submit their applications is March 9, 2018.
